Our Story

Field capability in marine engineering.

Saroz Marine Engineering is a marine engineering firm providing ship maintenance & repair, new-build outfitting and on-site machining. It was founded in 2020, and its team has built up more than 15 years of field experience.

On-site machining is the firm's signature work: without docking the vessel, we perform hole machining and surface grinding in the field using portable boring and portable vertical milling machines.

In maintenance & repair we work across five disciplines; measurement and reporting are carried out with dial gauges and micrometers. We make it our duty to hand over the work in running order and on time.

Services

Three disciplines, one standard: working handover.

Ship maintenance & repair, new-build outfitting and on-site machining. Every job is reported with measurement equipment; the system is handed over in working order.

Ship Maintenance & Repair

Maintenance and repair across mechanical, steel-outfitting, paint, piping and electrical disciplines, with our own crew and equipment; quality workmanship and on-time delivery.

Technical Capacity

Two machines that make the difference on site.

The portable boring machine enables bushing machining without moving the vessel, while the portable vertical milling machine handles surface and foundation work. Measurements are taken with dial gauges and micrometers; paint washing uses 300–1000 bar high pressure.

Portable Boring Machine

On-site bushing machining; sterntube shaft bearings and rudder bushings are machined in place.

Portable Vertical Milling Machine

Surface and foundation machining; weapon and equipment foundations are milled on site.

01Mechanical Work

Defense Industry Experience

In 2024, we installed the main propulsion system on a corvette.

We machined the weapon foundations with the portable vertical milling machine, and the sterntube and rudder bushings with the portable boring machine. This work directly demonstrates our field capability in naval vessel outfitting.

Frequently asked questions

What does Saroz Denizcilik Mühendislik do?

It provides ship maintenance & repair, new-build outfitting and on-site machining services. Maintenance & repair covers mechanical, steel-outfitting, paint, piping and electrical disciplines; new-build outfitting covers propulsion systems, mechanical equipment and weapon systems for commercial, passenger and naval vessels.

When was the company founded?

The company was founded in 2020 and carries over 15 years of accumulated industry experience. It began with maintenance and repair work, then expanded its scope with portable vertical milling and portable boring machines.

Do you have defense-industry experience?

Yes. In the first quarter of 2024 the company completed the installation of the main propulsion system on a corvette warship; weapon foundations were machined with the portable vertical milling machine, and the sterntube and rudder bushings with the portable boring machine.

Do you offer on-site machining?

Yes. We perform on-site machining with 0.00% error regardless of diameter or size. Without moving the vessel to a shipyard, we carry out hole machining and surface grinding in field conditions using portable boring and portable vertical milling machines.
